Lifeboat is a data rescue program that quickly and safely recovers your data through crashed operating systems without the need to remove your PC hard drive. Lifeboat is a bootable CD that lets you easily recover or transfer data from a failed computer or between two working computers over a network. There is no technical knowledge required to use Lifeboat; if you're unfamiliar with computer networking, Lifeboat includes a comprehensive manual to guide you through the recovery process. Lifeboat uses your existing network; Lifeboat copies data to your secondary computer, ensuring you're ready to get back to work fast. Because you don't need to open your computer's case and remove the hard drive, there is no risk of voiding the manufacturer's warranty while you are recovering your data.
Lifeboat uses minimal hardware resources and can often recover data even when components such as your video card have begun to fail.
